What are you REALLY looking for in a relationship?

Have you ever asked yourself what it is that you really want in a relationship?

I’m not talking about their physical attributes – although, hey, that can help with the attraction.

But what about those other important qualities? Types of behaviors?

Maybe you’re looking for someone who:
· Has a positive attitude?
· Lives in abundance?
· Has a great sense of humor?
· Is kind and nurturing?
· Likes to travel and be adventurous?

Make a list. Write down whatever comes to mind.

If you’re still stumped with what you’re really looking for in a relationship, think about what makes you happy. What you’ve liked – or disliked about people in your past relationships.

What has or hasn’t worked out for you?

Sit alone, be present and tap in. Really think about your own core values. Does that trigger any thoughts about what’s most important to you? What could be a deal breaker?

Once you’ve got your list together, look at all the ones you wrote down. Which one is the most important to you?

Now ask yourself this. Which one of these are you willing to be… for YOU?

We tend to look for something or someone external to make us happy. A particular person with similar features or interests, to come into our life. To develop a relationship with us that will then make us feel joy… to feel complete.

But you shouldn’t rely on someone else to make you feel content.

You’re the only person who can truly make yourself the happiest.

Just think about how incredible that is? To know that you’re in full control. That you already have what it is that you’re looking for. That you can be exactly who it is that you want to be.

External validation is just that. It comes from the outside.

What’s important is your internal love and acceptance. It’s what comes from inside of you!

It’s when you focus on building a healthy and loving relationship with yourself, that you’ll start to truly understand and discover what you really want in life.

It’s then that you’ll find your answer – and truly know what it is that you’re really looking for in a relationship.

I’d love to hear from you! Please share in the comments below what resonated with you most!

Have a wonderful week filled with love and gratitude!

Here’s to living a life you love,

P.S. One of my major core values in creating a phenomenal relationship with myself is Curiosity.

Nurturing curiosity about life, your life, opens new doors to possibilities that are hidden behind every surface directing you into the unknown, which is where you will make discoveries, develop relationships, uncover opportunities, and experience growth

What Happens When You Finally Say No?

What Happens When You Finally Say No?

There’s a kind of no that changes everything. Not the frantic, overwhelmed no that comes when we’re already stretched too thin. But the quiet, grounded no that comes from knowing yourself. From asking: Does this work for me? Does this feel aligned with the life I want...

What to Do When Someone Misjudges You

What to Do When Someone Misjudges You

How often have you tried to change yourself to fit someone else’s expectations? How often have you taken someone’s words, their look, their opinion, and made it mean something about your worth? If you’re like me, you know how easy it is to slip into that pattern. And...

Resentment Isn’t the End—It’s the Invitation

Have you ever resented someone—not because they wronged you—but because they did something you didn’t believe you could? Maybe they left the life they were “supposed” to live. Maybe they set a boundary you didn’t know you were allowed to have. Maybe they chose joy...
