Have You Stayed True to What Matters Most to You This Year?

Nov 7, 2024

As we enter the final months of 2024, it’s a natural time to pause and reflect. Many of us find ourselves asking big questions: Have I stayed true to what matters most to me this year? Have I created a life that aligns with my vision? These questions invite us to look honestly at our choices, our growth, and where we may have drifted off course.

If you’re feeling the pull to realign and reconnect as we approach the year’s end, you’re not alone. This time of year is perfect for getting clear on what we value and refreshing our commitment to the things that truly drive us. At Congruent Living, I emphasize the R in the Congruent Living method: Realign, Reinvigorate, and Reconnect—three powerful actions to help you close out the year with intention and step confidently into what’s next.

  1. Realign: Bringing Yourself Back to Center

Realigning with what matters most is the first and most important step. Throughout the year, it’s easy to become sidetracked by others’ expectations or caught up in routines that don’t quite serve us. Realignment invites us to come back to what feels right and meaningful, taking an honest look at where we’re putting our energy.

Realigning isn’t about completely changing course. Often, it’s about small shifts that bring us closer to our true path. Ask yourself, Am I making choices that resonate with who I am and what I want? This simple question can create a powerful shift, bringing clarity and renewed focus.

  1. Reinvigorate: Finding Energy and Passion Again

Once you realign with what’s meaningful to you, there’s often a surge of renewed energy. This is the power of Reinvigoration—rediscovering the drive and excitement that may have felt elusive in the busyness of the year. When we reconnect with our core desires, we naturally feel a sense of enthusiasm that propels us forward.

Think about the last time you felt deeply inspired. What were you working toward? Who were you becoming? Reinvigorating your passion means tapping back into that energy and using it as fuel for the goals you’re most excited about. It’s about asking yourself, What truly excites me about the life I’m building?

  1. Reconnect: Returning to What’s Most Important

Finally, Reconnect with yourself and your vision. Reconnection is about deepening your relationship with yourself, honoring your dreams, and getting real about any limiting beliefs or habits that have held you back. Reconnecting means understanding where you’ve drifted and what you need to feel centered again.

Let me share a personal story. Recently, I invested in a new mentor, which led me to step back and really examine what was working in my business and what wasn’t. I realized I’d been prioritizing others’ expectations over my own vision. By taking the time to reconnect, I could see where small adjustments would make a world of difference, helping me return to what I truly wanted. This realignment and reconnection helped me move forward with a fresh sense of commitment and energy.

Are You Ready to Realign, Reinvigorate, and Reconnect?

As you look back over this year, consider what’s asking for realignment in your life. Reflect on what passions need to be reinvigorated and where you need to reconnect to feel fully engaged with your path. These aren’t just exercises—they’re steps toward creating a life that feels congruent with who you are and what matters most to you.

If you’re ready to dive deeper into this work, I invite you to join me in the Congruent Living Academy. Doors are open, and we’ll be starting a new cohort on January 7th, 2025. The Academy is a place to explore what’s possible, with a community of like-minded individuals and personalized support. It’s an opportunity to create a life that truly aligns with your vision.

Ask yourself: Have I stayed true to what matters most to me this year? If not, maybe it’s time to realign, reinvigorate, and reconnect.

Here’s to closing out the year with clarity and intention—and stepping into 2025 feeling fully in sync with the life you’re creating
