It’s Not Too Late to Start Living the Life You Love

Jun 7, 2025

What’s One Thing You’ve Told Yourself It’s Too Late to Do?

Why This Question Might Be the Key to Your Next Chapter

We all have that one thing we’ve quietly tucked away.
A dream. A desire. A longing.

Something we once wanted—maybe even still want—but now tell ourselves it’s too late for.

And yet… it still whispers to you.

“Start again.”
“Try it.”
“What if…?”

So today, I want to ask you:

What’s one thing you’ve told yourself it’s too late to do—but deep down still long for?

You’re Not Alone—You’re in Midlife (and That’s a Powerful Place to Be)

In my work with women in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, this question comes up again and again.

And with it comes a wave of emotions:
  • “I missed my chance.”
  • “I should be content.”
  • “Is it selfish to want more now?”

Here’s the truth most of us were never taught:

Midlife is not a closing chapter.
It’s a reset point.

A place where you get to ask—not what’s expected of you—but what’s possible for you.
Why We Tell Ourselves It’s Too Late

That belief—“It’s too late”—is almost never about reality.

It’s about:
  • Years of caring for others and putting yourself last
  • Cultural messages that say aging means fading
  • Fear of starting over and getting it wrong

But the truth is:

It’s not too late—it’s just unpracticed.

You’re not behind. You’ve simply been living by someone else’s story.

And now? You have the power to write your own.

3 Small Shifts That Can Reignite What You Thought Was Lost

If this question stirred something in you, here are three gentle ways to start:

1. Reclaim the longing.

Acknowledge what you want—even if it feels far away or “unrealistic.”
Desire is a signal, not a problem.

2.Challenge the timeline.

Whose definition of “too late” are you using?
Life doesn’t run on expiration dates. It moves in seasons—and this one is yours.

3. Take a small, aligned action.

That might mean journaling for 10 minutes, booking a call, signing up for something new, or saying no to what’s draining you.

Small steps build new momentum.

This Is Why I’m Not Retired (And Why You Might Not Be Done Either)

I’m 72. And no, I’m not retired.

People ask me all the time why I’m still coaching, mentoring, speaking, writing…

And the answer is simple:
Because I love it.
Because I believe in women like you.
Because I know what’s possible when you stop asking if it’s too late—and start asking what’s next.

That’s why I created The Bold Reset—a 3-day experience designed to help you:
  • Break free from self-doubt and people-pleasing
  • Reconnect with your voice and your joy
  • Reset your rhythm, on your terms

Final Thought

You’re not too old.

You’re not too late.

You’re not done.

You’re just getting started.

What Happens When You Finally Say No?
