When I nearly gave up this week
And the shift that brought me back to center
This week, I almost gave up on something that mattered deeply to me.
Not because it wasn’t meaningful.
Not because I didn’t care.
But because I got caught in the trap of trying to make it perfect.
I was creating something that felt purposeful.
And then the tech side of it completely derailed me.
It didn’t flow.
It felt heavy.
And suddenly I was caught in the noise:
“This has to be right.”
“This should be easier.”
“If I can’t do it perfectly, maybe I shouldn’t do it at all.”
But I’ve learned to stop before I spiral.
I’ve made a promise to myself—
Do no harm.
And that includes me.
So I walked away.
I let it breathe.
I chose integrity over urgency.
And the next morning, the fog lifted.
I saw it clearly:
✨ I wasn’t tired from the work.
✨I was tired from the pressure I placed on it.

The truth is this:
Perfection isn’t the goal.
Showing up in a way that honors who you are—that’s the shift.
That’s where clarity lives.
That’s where momentum returns.
That’s how we stay connected to what we’re creating.
So if you’re pushing through something that’s draining your energy—
Ask yourself:
👉Am I honoring myself in this moment?
👉 Or am I abandoning myself in the name of getting it done?
What might be possible if you let those go?
You don’t have to perform your way through.
You don’t have to finish fast to prove anything.
You just have to stay with what feels true.
That’s the work.
That’s the way forward.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing inside Fearless Women Rising
