Take This First Step To Create a Productive and Positive Mindset

Jun 16, 2022

Are you looking for someone else’s permission to create a life you love?

We all have some things that we want to change or improve in our life.

It could be creating a healthier body or lifestyle. Maybe it’s changing careers, finding a new  partner or strengthening existing relationships.

But nothing will change – until we do.

The most effective way to transform our lives is by creating a productive and positive mindset.

As I discussed in the previous week’s Transformational Motivational Mindset Moment [link to live channel] there are three major steps you need to take to help you create a healthy and positive mindset.

This week I spoke about the first step on this transformational journey.

.Ask yourself – what do I truly want in life?

Tap into yourself. Be honest – are you wanting this change or transformation for yourself or is it someone else’s dream?

As you go through this process the ya-buts will pop up. “Ya, but I can’t”, “Ya, but it won’t work” and all those other negative beliefs that you’ve been taught over the years, usually by those who love us.

The problem is, they’re beliefs that align with OTHER people’s thoughts and beliefs.

It’s their own fears and negativity that they then repeat by telling us what it is we need to do or what not to do, trying to protect us.

But it’s not their life. However, their thoughts can hold us back in our life – if we let them.

Most of us have at some point followed someone else’s dream.

Maybe our parents, a spouse or even societal demands.

Then we feel that resistance. We don’t see or feel things clearly.

Thoughts and decisions feel off. Our actions are stalled by roadblocks.

That’s why it’s essential to make sure you’re tuning into your voice – not someone else’s. Then focus on what it is you want to transform.

Step outside your comfort zone – it’s essential in moving forward.

Our comfort zone can hold us back, subconsciously creating roadblocks, filling us with doubts and fear of failure.

If we don’t step out of that zone, we’ll end up staying exactly where we’re at.

Once you determine what you want to transform, chunk it down into smaller steps.

What do you want to see in 3 weeks, 3 months, a year from now?

What is the first action you need to take to move towards your vision?

Then take it! Shut out all those negative voices, thoughts and fears. They aren’t there to serve you – but rather stop you.

Staying focused, blocking out the fear and negative thoughts and moving forward will help you create a life you love – and one who loves you back!
