9 Top Tips to help put the Me back in Merry!
Too often, especially during the holidays, we get caught up in all the rushing around, getting things done for work, your family and all those other responsibilities that you take on.
Now imagine if you were to put yourself first. What would it feel like to honor yourself and focus on you at this time of year?
Are you willing to be that bold and beautiful?
Here are some of my favorite juicy tips on how to indulge in being you this season and put the ME back in MERRY!
1. Carve out time for self-care
We all know that self-care should be a priority. However, we become so consumed with life’s busyness and fast pace that we often neglect it.
Calendar it in! Even if it’s just 5 or 10 minutes, put what YOU want to indulge in, into your calendar. And the make sure you honor your word by committing to it.
Taking the time to care for yourself enhances your ability to live fully and reminds yourself and others that your needs are a priority.
2. Be intentional
Choose what lights you up. Ask yourself what you want to create with each day. Be honest and clear, then prioritize that!
3. Let go of Perfection!
Recognize that there’s no such thing as perfect! Instead, go for what would bring you joy!
4. Create a gratitude list
Gratitude generates more of what you have and what you’re asking to create!
If the idea of beginning a gratitude practice feels overwhelming or cheesy, keep in mind that it doesn’t have to be difficult. You can start small by setting aside time each day to think or write about three things that you’re grateful for, or writing a gratitude letter once a week.
If you’re comfortable expressing your gratitude, set a goal for yourself to tell someone that you appreciate them every day. After all—you’ve got nothing to lose, and so much to gain!
5. Ask for support
There’s no shame in asking for help. Your loved ones want to help because they love you. Asking for help requires being vulnerable and opening up in ways that might feel uncomfortable at first. But the more honest you can be, the better they’ll be able to help you. (And the more you can feel their love!)
Speak up, include others, ask for their contribution. It might be family, friends or a coach and mentor.
6. Take action
Procrastination can be a huge source of anxiety and stress. If you’re thinking of doing something or talking to someone… go for it, follow the energy, do it now!
7. Just Say No
No is a complete sentence. No explanation needed. This holiday season, try saying yes to what brings life and joy to you and no to what doesn’t. You’ll be amazed at the space that it creates for you.
8. Mindfulness
Give yourself the gift of self-compassion. Remember the gift of breathwork. . It’s a fantastic calming tool to help you stay focused.
9. Affirmations
The holiday season can be a time of stress and fatigue, anxiety and worry—but it doesn’t have to be.
In fact, for many, the holiday season is a period of unique uplift and positivity.
The secret is to be intentional about seeking the joyful, the hopeful, and the good—starting each morning with a few words of positive affirmation.
Those who have never tried self-affirmation may not fully grasp the power of a positive mindset.
Aligning your thinking toward optimism and hopefulness can have a holistic impact—increasing your energy, strengthening you against relapse, multiplying your happiness, and broadening your capacity for gratitude.

Let me know in the comments below which ones popped for you in contributing to bring joy and cheer in creating a life you love during the holidays!
“Accept yourself. Love yourself as you are. Your finest work, your best moments, your joy, peace, and healing comes when you love yourself. You give a great gift to the world when you do that. You give others permission to do the same to love themselves. Revel in self-love. Roll in it. Bask in it as you would sunshine.”
