Life has a way of shaking things up just when we think we’ve got it all figured out. Sometimes, change arrives like a whisper—subtle nudges that tell us something isn’t quite right. Other times, it crashes in like a storm, leaving us no choice but to reassess everything we thought we knew.
For me, that storm came in the form of heavy metal poisoning. As a painter and printmaker, my identity was deeply tied to my art. But suddenly, I had to step away from my studio. The very thing that had always been my source of inspiration and expression was now making me sick.
I felt lost, uncertain, and disconnected from myself. Who was I without my creative work? What would my life look like if I could no longer do what I had always done?
At first, I resisted. I told myself, “This isn’t happening.” I felt stuck in the past, clinging to what I had known instead of opening up to what could be. But here’s what I realized: Life wasn’t shutting a door—it was asking me to reimagine.
And I had a choice.
I could either fight to hold onto an identity that no longer fit, or I could step into the unknown and trust that something new was waiting for me.
That’s when I started asking myself different questions:
- If I couldn’t create in the way I always had, what else could I create?
- If I wasn’t a painter, what else was possible?
- What if I stopped holding onto what was and started embracing what could be?
Those questions led me on a path I never expected—toward energetic healing, certification in coaching and counseling, and, ultimately, guiding others through their transformations.
Because here’s the truth:
Change isn’t the enemy. Our resistance to it is.
Most of us believe we need clarity before action—that we have to know exactly where we’re going before taking the first step. But the opposite is true. Action creates clarity.
If you’ve ever felt stuck—whether in a career, a relationship, or simply how you see yourself—it’s not because change isn’t possible. It’s because you’re still trying to fit into an old story that no longer serves you.
So let me ask you:
Where is life nudging you to change right now?
What would be possible if you stopped resisting and started reimagining?
The answers might just lead you to the most powerful transformation of your life.
